Sit. Rep. #34: Just the facts

1- Have you ever torn a shirt or pants on a camping trip? Ever lost a button or ruined a zipper?  They will happen sooner or later.  Trust me.  Learn how to mend by hand sewing.  Thread & a needle are all you need.  A thimble helps.

2- Write about your own experience during this Covid-19.  Journal a little bit each day.

A- What is Kermit the Frog’s favorite drink?
B- Croak-a-cola.

3- Try this:  Print out a news article from the web.  Highlight the actual facts that are the news.  Then see how much spin is left over.  Which way was the author spinning the news?  Beware that the news is not about news.   What?  It is about selling advertising and sponsorships.

4- What are you doing as an individual and as a family to have fun?

5- Red Oak Leaves have distinctive points on the lobes (tips) of the leaves.  White Oak Trees have rounded lobes.

C- What is the Werewolf’s favorite position in soccer?
D- Ghoulie

6-   What is the formula used to calculate electrical power in a DC circuit?   Power (P) in Watts (W) equals voltage (E) multiplied by current (I) in Amps (A):  P = E I  or Watts=Volts*Amps

Here are some examples:
How much power is being used in a circuit when the applied voltage is 13.8 volts DC and the current is 10 amperes?
         138 watts
The calculation for this question is P = E *  I = 13.8 V * 10 A,  P = 138 W.

How much power is being used in a circuit when the applied voltage is 12 volts DC and the current is 2.5 amperes?
         30 watts        The calculation for this question is P = E * I = 12 V * 2.5 A,  P = 30 W.
